The story, "The necklace" was a very interesting story. I think that it did a good job portraying the ideas of being careful what you wish for and also that money can't buy happiness. I noticed many similarities between the story and the real world. For example, Miley Cyrus was very famous when she was younger and soaked in the fame but now she seems to have fallen off the deep end. She as a child surely wished for fame and it seems to have done bad things for her. Also, Michael Jackson was very very rich yet was also very unhappy even though he could want for nothing. He would have been happier being "normal". Many famous people have claimed that they wish they could be "normal". I understand why Mathilde did what she did. It is natural human behavior to want to have more than everyone else and to be better than anyone else. She was not used to having large sums of money and expensive clothing. She didn't know how to use or control it.
